| CAUTION : The tenant is responsible for all his personal objets or belongings. They are not covered by any Building Owner Tenant or Owner-Agency insurance policy. Therefore the tenant must personally insure his own belongings againts theft ; particulary for skis stored in outhouses such as the ski locker. The tenant is expected to insure himself with an insurance company in terms of personnal liability and against risk of fire, flood rental risks, contents, as well as liability claims and thus must be able to prove to the owner or his agent such insurance. In consequence, the latest decline all responsibility for any liability claim made by their insurance company against the tenant . | ||

1) OPTIONAn option may be taken with the agency for the rental of a chalet, an apartment or studio bytelephoning 33.4.79 06 73 50, fax 33.4 79 06 26 54, INTERNET : http ://www.valdisere-agence.com Email : reservation@valdisere-agence.com. This option lasts 8 days. This option may be confirmed by sending an advance payment of 25% of the rental price within the option validity time defined above.
2) BOOKING RENTALThe booking can only be confirmed after acknowledgement of reception of the advance payment, namely 25% of the rental price.The rental is concluded with a numeroted and dated contract. The balance of the rental must be paid one month before the arrival date. If a last minute rental is reserved by telephone, it is recommended that the balance of the rental must be sent by credit card : Visa, Eurocard or Mastercard (American express & Diners Club are not accepted). This amount becomes the property of the owner in the case of cancellation (for rentals over 3 days). The payment (deposit and balance) may be reimbursed in case of force majeure if a cancellation insurance is taken out (optional). In the case of payment made by bankers draft, the charges incurred are at the cost of the tenant. Rentals are for a minimum of 7 nights. Rental periods start from Saturday 5.00 pm and end on Saturday 10.00 am. Overnight stays additional to those in the contract will be invoiced additionally prorata to the basic cost. The apartment cannot be changed after the reservation and the contract has been made without losing the advance payment made to the Owner. The tenant cannot claim any reduction or indemnity on the rental price in case of any problems in the common parts (lifts, heating, hot water, electricity…). |
3) PRICE LISTS AND AUXILIARY COSTSThe guarantee deposit , which can be paid by check in euro or by cash, and the files expenses (16€) are additional to the price given in the price list.The amount of this guarantee deposit is determined as follows : - Magnetic car park cards and keys : from 30 to 100€. - Studios : 300€ per week - Apartments and chalets : from 500€ per week to 1000€, and more for some large apartments and chalets. This guarantee deposit will be restored by mail within 15 days after your departure, minus any costs to cover breakage and other services. For foreign customers, the guarantee deposit minus any costs for breakage or other services will be returned by mail within the time necessary for exchange control formalities (payment justifications). If the guarantee deposit is insufficient , the tenant will be obliged to pay the difference. If the keys are not brought back, the amount of the exchanged lock will be taken on the guarantee deposit.
4) RECEPTION AND HANDING OVER KEYSReception will be at VAL D’ISERE AGENCY (VAL D’ISERE centre) from 9 .00 am to noon and 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm, and in our La Daille Office.Exceptionally, tenants who want to take possession of the apartment after 7.00 pm must pay either the balance of the rental price one month before the arrival date and also the guarantee deposit. The Agency or the janitor will hand over the keys on presentation of the ‘payment receipt’ starting from 5.00 pm. The Agency issues the 'payment receipt' after reception of the total rental price and the guarantee deposit. The balance will also have to be paid if the premises are not occupied on the planned date (except in a case of force majeure covered by cancellation insurance conditions). |
5) OCCUPATIONSOn arrival, an inventory of the premises will be made and returned signed by the tenant to the janitor or the Agency at the latest the day after arrival, before 5.00 pm.Any claim concerning rented premises and the inventory must be presented within 48 hours after handing over the keys. Occupancy dates and release times must be strictly respected. Animals may be admitted subject to the current legislation. The inventory is made initially in the presence and in agreement with the tenant.
6) SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONSTenants are requested to :- treat the rented premises and their contents with due care. - strictly avoid housing more occupants than are stated in the rental contract, that corresponds to the accomodations facilities in the apartment considered. - do not make any change in the arrangement of the furniture in the apartment and it’s forbidden to take them outside the apartment. - to give the apartment back in the same state as initially found (rubbish emptied, dishwashing cleaned, linen taken off and fold up in the entrance of the apartment…). - respect instructions concerning energy savings, particularly avoiding leaving windows open and radiators on unreasonably, and also to take all precautions against risks of frost. - respect the internal building regulations as posted, particularly concerning the obligation for quiet after 10.00 pm.
7) LINEN AND CLEANINGBed linen and towels are included in all the residences in winter and in summer, and the final cleaning too. The daily cleaning is included in some residences (see the price list) in winter only. ALL LITIGIOUS proceedings that might have occurance between the two parties must exclusively be in the tribunal of the locality rented. CAUTION : The bunkbeds should not be used by children under six years old. |

UNDER THE GENERAL AND DETAILED CONDITIONS of POLICY NUMBER 1.120.800, the company guarantees repayment of amounts paid as an advance for a holiday that has to be cancelled for one of the following reasons, subject to deduction of a 12€ minimum and if necessary of the balance of the rental which would be reimbursed through Val d’Isère Agence :
1 - Sickness, accident or death of the insured party or his or her spouse, or their parents or children. SICKNESS or ACCIDENT refers to any change in health or injury that prevents the insured party from leaving his or her domicile or hospital in which he or she is being treated, at the time of departure. 2 - Death of a sister or a brother of the insured party or of his or her spouse. 3 - Fire, explosion or any other event causing severe material damage in the private or professional premises of the insured party taking place before his or her departure and requiring his or her presence on the day of departure. 4 - The tenant or his or her spouse is laid off or transferred within 60 days preceding the rental period. 5 - Insufficient or excessive snow forcing the insured party to cancel his or her holiday before departure, or renounce it within 48 hours of arrival. This guarantee is only applicable if the insufficient or excessive snow occurs during the official opening period of the ski resort, and if at least 66 % of the ski runs are closed during the planned holiday. 6 - Impossible to reach the rental location due to the road being cut off beyond MOUTIERS, provided that this is due to heavy snow on the planned start day and lasts for more than 24 hours. |
7 - Pollution or epidemic obliging the local authority or the Prefecture to prevent access to the resort during the rental period.
8 - Unforeseeable pregnancy complication making it impossible for the insured party to travel to the rental location. 9 - Professional problem subsequent to an accidental event occurring within a company that requires the presence of the tenant or his or her spouse at work at the time of departure to the rental location. 10 - Interrupted holiday : The company also guarantees reimbursement of the rental prorata to the days remaining due to : - sickness, accident or death of the insured party of his or her spouse, and of their parents and children (sickness or accident means any change in health or injury making it impossible for the insured party to continue his or her stay). - death of a sister or a brother of the insured party or of his or her spouse. - fire, explosion or any other event causing serious material damage in the private or professional premises belonging to the insured party and requiring his presence. |
All damage caused by the following event is EXCLUDED :
- deceit or fraudulent action by the insured party. - foreign war, civil war, riots, popular movements, terrorism or sabotage act. - volcanic eruptions, earthquakes or other catastrophes. - direct or indirect effects of explosions, release of heat due to the transmutation of atomic cores or radioactivity. - rental periods longer than three months. In case of several rentals of apartments or chalets, the refunding of an insured event will be limited at 5 apartments or chalets maximum. FORMALITIES IN CASE OF A CLAIM : If he wishes to make a claim, the insured party must inform the Agency within 8 days, and at the same time DIOT MONTAGNE ASSURANCES - B.P. 23 - 73700 BOURG ST MAURICE, staching all backup documents to his declaration particularly concerning the sickness, accident or death, the medical or death certificate depending on the case accompanied by copy of the rental contract. The DIOT MONTAGNE ASSURANCES will pay indemnities due to the insured party directly within 30 days after the parties reach agreement. EFFECTIVE DATE OF VALIDITY IN CASE OF CLAIM : These guarantees made by the Insurance Company will be effective starting from the days after the customer-tenant receives the rental contract prepared by VAL D’ISERE AGENCY, for the rental period shown on the said contract. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS INSURANCE CONTRACT DO NOT REPLACE THE PROVISIONS OF THE RENTAL CONTRACT. |
